Matt Damon, the Oscar-winning actor, made the New York premiere of his latest film, The Instigators, a memorable family event on Wednesday, July 31. The 53-year-old actor walked the red carpet alongside his wife, Luciana Barroso, and their three daughters: Isabella, 18, Gia, 15, and Stella, 13. Also joining them was Barroso’s 24-year-old daughter, Alexia, and Damon’s mother, Nancy Carlsson-Paige.
“She actually produced this one,” Damon shared about his wife Barroso, 48. “She was very actively involved, and I trust her completely.”
Damon emphasized the importance of his wife’s input, likening her judgment to that of his close friends, Casey and Ben Affleck. “When they dig their heels in on something, I pay attention. We all have blind spots creatively or otherwise, and when someone whose taste I trust feels strongly about something, I look really carefully at it.”
The Instigators is set to hit theaters on August 2 and will be available on Apple TV+ starting August 9.
Before the film’s promotion kicked off, Damon and Barroso enjoyed a romantic getaway in Greece in July. The couple, who have been married for 19 years, were spotted soaking up the sun in Mykonos, with Barroso beaming in a white bikini and Damon relaxed in black swim trunks.
Last summer, the duo also vacationed in Greece, sharing a PDA-filled holiday and spending time with the Hemsworth brothers.
Earlier in June, the family celebrated Isabella’s high school graduation in Brooklyn, New York. The Brooklyn Friends School honored Isabella’s achievements and future endeavors with a heartfelt Instagram post: “Congratulations, Bella! Your confident embrace of your identity serves as a beacon of inspiration for all of us. Good luck at New York University Gallatin School of Individualized Study! The Brooklyn Friends community is with you always!”
From celebrating film premieres to family milestones, Matt Damon’s support system remains as strong as ever.
