Comedy legend Martin Short made Saturday Night Live history on Dec. 21, officially joining the exclusive Five-Timers Club—a distinguished group of celebrities who have hosted the iconic show at least five times.
A Star-Studded Celebration
Short’s milestone was marked by appearances from fellow Five-Timers Club members, including Tom Hanks, Tina Fey, Alec Baldwin, Scarlett Johansson, Emma Stone, Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, John Mulaney, and Jimmy Fallon.
In a moment of classic SNL humor, Fallon presented Short with the official Five-Timers Club jacket, joking:
“This is exactly your size—a women’s small.”
Short showed off his comedic brilliance in several sketches, including:
A parking lot feud, where he hilariously battled over a parking space.
An airport employee, delivering chaotic updates during the busy holiday season.
A drama teacher, offering over-the-top critiques of A Charlie Brown Christmas.
Musical Guest: Hozier Returns
Hozier made his long-awaited return to SNL, performing for the first time since 2014.
He opened with “Too Sweet” from his new EP Unheard.
Later, he performed a heartfelt version of “Fairytale of New York”.

SNL’s landmark 50th season came with cast changes:
New Faces: Ashley Padilla, Emil Wakim, and Jane Wickline joined the show.
Goodbyes: Punkie Johnson, Chloe Troast, and Molly Kearney stepped away.
Promotions: Marcello Hernandez, Michael Longfellow, and Devon Walker were bumped up to the main cast.
The rest of the lineup features long-time favorites like Kenan Thompson, Bowen Yang, Colin Jost, and Heidi Gardner.
