Mark Wahlberg Ponders Exclusion from Star-Studded “DunKings” Super Bowl Ad

Hollywood’s own Mark Wahlberg, while promoting his latest movie “Arthur the King” on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, humorously addressed his absence from the “DunKings” Super Bowl commercial that featured a trifecta of Massachusetts icons: Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, and Tom Brady. Despite being a celebrated Boston figure himself, Wahlberg was conspicuously missing from the advertisement, leaving fans and Wahlberg alike puzzled over the omission.

Wahlberg jokingly speculated that his roots from “the wrong side of the tracks” might have played a role in the oversight. The advertisement, which had Affleck, Damon, and Brady donning Wahlberg-inspired tracksuits and belting out a boy band-esque tune, has been a hit with viewers, garnering laughs and nostalgia alike. Wahlberg expressed his admiration for the ad’s humor and light-hearted spirit despite his absence.

Remaining optimistic, Wahlberg hinted at his hope for future collaboration with the trio, stating he’s “trying to work [his] way into their good graces” and patiently awaits a call to join the ranks of Boston’s finest in advertising or perhaps another creative venture. Until then, fans can look forward to Wahlberg’s upcoming film, set to hit theaters on March 15, showcasing his versatility and enduring charm on the silver screen.
