Mariah Carey & Millie Bobby Brown Recreate Opening Scene of ‘Honey’ Video Together

According to billboard.com, Mariah Carey is celebrating the 25th anniversary of Butterfly with help from Millie Bobby Brown. The singer took to social media on Saturday, September 17th, to share a recreation of the opening scene from her 1997 music video for her song “Honey.” Within the thirty second long clip, Mariah Carey played the damsel in distress while the Stranger Things actress took on the role of her kidnapper. “Reliving the splendor of the Honey video with surprise guests!” Carey captioned the comical skit on Instagram, tagging Brown and adding the hashtag #butterfly25.

Honey spent three weeks atop of the Billboard Hot 100 in September of 1997. On Friday, the extended edit of “Honey” was a part of Butterfly’s 25th anniversary celebration. The eight minute long edit, titled “Honey – Another Taste of Honey David Morales Remix,” is a bonus track on re-release of the classic album. Other re-releases join Honey, including a 4k remastered version of “The Roof” and “Honey” as music videos, a new Honey music video documentary, a set of classic live performances being released on Carey’s YouTube in September, Butterfly on cassette, and Deluxe Butterfly 4LP and 2LP Editions.
