A tribute show for celebrating the life and career of Leslie Jordan at the Grand Ole Opry set for February titled, Reportin’ for Duty: A Tribute to Leslie Jordan. The show will have an evening of performances and storytelling that is entirely dedicated to Jordan’s legacy.
Jordan’s 2021 Company’s Comin’ duets project had him on songs with an array of country stars. Maren Morris, Brothers Osborne, Ashley McBryde and Jelly Roll are some of those set to perform at Jordan’s tribute show. While other Country performers include Lukas Nelson, Billy Strings, Brittney Spencer, and Fancy Hagood. Performers from other genres will be there as well. Such as pop singer Wesley Rogers, gospel-rocker Danny Myrick and Americana act Travis Howard are also set to perform, so is Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder.
Reportin’ for Duty is going to take place on February 19th at the Grand Ole Opry with tickets going on sale on Friday, January 13th. With all the proceeds benefiting the EB Research Partnership, an organization dedicated to research for Epidermolysis Bullosa, which is a rare genetic skin condition.
Jordan’s passing came suddenly and unexpected, when at the age of 67 his car veered off the road and crashed into a building in Hollywood. Later on new information indicated that he was experiencing shortness of breath leading up to his death and was actually scheduled to see a cardiologist the same week that he died.
