Are your personal New Year’s Resolutions falling by the wayside? Tackling your home’s needs is a great way to make some changes that will not only make your home look better but also make you feel better.
Here are some tips to inspire your home improvement resolution:
Organization in the closet. Maybe it’s time to Marie Kondo your closet. Maybe it’s past time. Clean it out, and clean it up.
Add some color. Get rid of the bland the grays, beiges and staying neutral. It’s fun to add colors, such as an accent wall, in an entry way, bedroom, or office.
A twist on the old. A new project doesn’t have to cost an arm and a leg. You can make a cool project with some free pallets. There’s even a website, instructables.com, with the handy dandy “50 Things to Make With A Pallet.” Among the ideas are a coffee table, vertical blinds out of the individual slats and a whiskey rack.
Make the bedroom a haven. You really want to create a place of rest in the bedroom. You can get rid of your TV, get dark curtains so you can sleep better, longer, and get a comfy chair or bench so you have a place to sit & read or just put on your shoes and socks. Other than that, keep furniture to a minimum because it attracts stray clothing.
