Mac McClung has only played in two NBA games with the Chicago Bulls and the Los Angeles Lakers, and now he is quickly growing in popularity after winning the 2023 NBA Slam Dunk Contest.
McClung scored a total of 999 points out of a possible score of 1,000. He took part in the Slam Dunk Contest after signing a two-way contract with the Philadelphia 76ers earlier on this week, allowing him to participate.
On his very first dunk, he managed to jump over two people and then tapped the ball using the backboard, and finished off with a behind the head two handed slam. With his second dunk being a two-handed 360 reverse windmill.
His first two dunks got him to the finals against Trey Murphy III, where on his first dunk he did a double-pump. In order to get the win, McClung pulled off a 540 while wearing his high school jersey.
Hopefully McClung’s impressive dunking performance will see him having some legitimate play time in the future.
