Country music star Luke Bryan faced an unexpected challenge on stage during his “Country On Tour” stop in Rogers, Arkansas, last week. Battling vocal issues at the Walmart AMP, Bryan candidly admitted to the crowd, “I cannot have my voice in this venue for some reason… It happens every time.”
Despite the setback, Bryan refused to cut the night short, promising to refund every ticket while continuing the show. “We’re going to keep doing the damn show, OK?” he declared to roaring applause.
The Arkansas hiccup was followed by news that Bryan’s Dallas and Lafayette shows would be rescheduled due to illness. Still, the “Play It Again” singer is determined to keep the tour rolling, with his next show scheduled for June 26 in Bonner Springs, Kansas.
Offstage, Bryan remains committed to causes close to his heart. The singer recently teamed up with Raising Cane’s founder Todd Graves to celebrate a $1 million donation to The Brett Boyer Foundation, which supports families affected by congenital heart defects.
“Family is at the heart of this,” Bryan shared. “We started small, and we’re growing.”
Tour hiccups aside, Bryan’s music — and mission — march on.
