Louis Vuitton brings back their 2000 Signature Monograms

Louis Vuitton’s new “LV Remix” collection brings back the brand’s iconic Denim and Vernis monogram leather, shoe and accessory styles from the 2000s, when designer Marc Jacobs was at the helm of the classic design house.

As Hypebae reports, American designer Marc Jacobs took the helm of Louis Vuitton back in 1997, experiencing a 16-year tenure defined by edge-infused elegance with an eye for disobedience. His Spring/Summer 2001 collection is perhaps his most notorious, collaborating with artist Stephen Sprouse on several graffiti-painted items that altered the clean Louis Vuitton aesthetic.

Now Louis Vuitton is entering 2024 by looking back to decades past, paying tribute to Jacobs’ continued impact with a new “LV Remix” collection. The brand taps Phoebe Dynevor, Lous & the Yakuza, Shay Mitchell, and Nana Ouyang to star in the striking campaign, debuting leather goods, shoes, and accessories drenched in Y2K signatures.

The brand’s 2000 Monogram Vernis collection returns with vibrant backgrounds spearheaded by youthful details. The LV girls swing back and forth on metal swings wearing repurposed Croissant, Capucines East-West, and Twist West bags made chic with denim fabrics and versatile straps. Vuitton’s low-slung heels and chunky sneakers are delivered in a soft denim monogram, while belts, caps, and bucket hats complement additional items with vintage inspirations and fringed accents.

“LV Remix” is now available to shop at louisvuitton.com.
