According to hiphopdx.com, Logic is now calling a new label home, after leaving Def Jam earlier this year. BMG had announced on Friday, July first, that the rapper had signed on with them, going on to explain that Logic would own his own masters for the first time in his career. Logic is quoted in saying that, “There’s a lot of bullshit in the music industry, I’m just glad to move on to a place where I can be independent and respected as an artist, and feel like I’m in control of my career.” BMG seems just as excited about the signing stating that, “As an artist, creator and entrepreneur, Logic is the perfect fit for BMG and we are excited to join forces, He has a unique authenticity that has consistently enabled him to remain among the best in the business.” The new signing comes just after his latest release of his album, “Vinyl Days”, on June 24th. The album had features including names such as Action Bronson, Curren$y, Russ, RZA, AZ, The Game, Royce Da 5’9″ and Wiz Khalifa. Logic is set to be on the road with Khalifa on The Vinyl Verse Tour from July 27th- September 2nd, other guests will also be featured on select dates.
