Limp Bizkit Hints at “Nu” Music in the Studio, Sparks Album Speculation

Limp Bizkit fans, get ready to break stuff all over again. The nu metal icons have ignited speculation of a comeback with a cryptic Instagram post teasing what appears to be new music—or, as they put it, “nu” music.

The band shared a photo of themselves in the studio, accompanied by the single-word caption, “nu.” It’s a fitting nod to their roots, having pioneered the nu metal sound with rap-infused aggression and chaotic energy that defined the late ‘90s and early 2000s.

Their last full-length release, Still Sucks in 2021, broke a decade-long silence following 2011’s Gold Cobra. Now, with studio sessions clearly underway, the band’s loyal following is buzzing with anticipation for what could be their seventh studio album.

Adding more fuel to the fire, Limp Bizkit is also set to join Metallica for select dates on the legendary metal group’s U.S. tour—marking a massive opportunity to reconnect with both old and new fans on the road.

While no official album has been announced, the message is clear: Limp Bizkit is back in the lab, and something nu is definitely brewing.
