Lil Wayne and Drake may have more music waiting in the wings than fans ever imagined.
During a recent appearance on *The Joint Venture Show*, Lil Wayne revealed that he and his longtime collaborator have accumulated a substantial collection of unreleased recordings, some dating back more than a decade.
Speaking with co-host Craig Carton, Wayne confirmed that their musical archives contain songs recorded as far back as 2014 and 2015. While those tracks have remained out of the public spotlight, the rapper made it clear that they haven’t been forgotten.
In fact, Wayne continues to revisit the recordings, occasionally updating older material and sending revised versions directly to Drake. According to Wayne, the Canadian superstar regularly responds with enthusiasm, wondering when the two will finally make the songs available to listeners.
The revelation offers an intriguing glimpse into one of hip-hop’s most successful creative partnerships.
Wayne played an important role in Drake’s early career through Young Money Entertainment, helping introduce the Toronto artist to a broader audience. Their relationship eventually developed into a series of collaborations that became defining records of the late 2000s and 2010s.
Together, they delivered fan favorites including “The Motto,” “Miss Me,” “She Will,” and “Forever,” establishing a musical chemistry that helped both artists dominate hip-hop playlists and radio airwaves.
Their partnership also extended to collaborations with other major performers, including Nicki Minaj and Rick Ross.
Despite their extensive history, Wayne and Drake have not appeared together on a newly released collaboration since 2021. That year, they joined Rick Ross on “You Only Live Twice,” from Drake’s *Certified Lover Boy* album, and reunited with Nicki Minaj for “Seeing Green.”
Now, Wayne’s comments suggest that their recording history contains an entirely separate collection of material that has never received an official release.
Although Wayne appears interested in sharing those recordings, there is no confirmed timetable for their arrival. Neither rapper has announced whether the music might emerge as individual singles, a larger collection, or a full collaborative project.
For longtime listeners, the possibility of hearing previously unreleased recordings from the height of their Young Money era is particularly appealing.
And with Wayne still revisiting those sessions and Drake reportedly eager to hear the updated versions, the prospect of another collaboration remains very much alive.
For now, the music remains in the vault, but Wayne has given fans another reason to hope that some of those recordings will eventually find their way onto streaming platforms.
