On Wednesday night, December 12th, Lil Wayne stopped by The Late Show With Stephen Colbert in NYC to serve as the musical guest episode. He performed Tha Carter V standout “Don’t Cry,” which posthumously features the late XXXTentacion, backed by DJ T.Lewis and another instrumentalist handling percussion duties.
The 36-year-old went on to reiterate his DJ’s sentiment from earlier in the performance, where he dedicated “Don’t Cry” to those that had lost a loved one at some point in life. “If you lost somebody, and you celebrating life tonight, then just put two fingers in the air,” Wayne told the audience shortly before wrapping things up.
