“Licorice Pizza” Wins National Board of Review Best Film of 2021 + More Winners

The National Board of Review, consisting of film enthusiasts, academics, and other industry-working movie professionals, has officially named Paul Thomas Anderson’s Licorice Pizza, starring Alana Haim, Cooper Hoffman, Sean Penn, Tom Waits, Bradley Cooper, and Benny Safdie, as the best film of 2021. 

This honor, among the other categories of the NBR’s list, has been considered a stepping stone on the path for many potential Oscar contenders.
