Liam Gallagher has never been one to hold his tongue, and today was no different. The former Oasis frontman took to social media to lash out at leakers after NME published what it claimed to be the lineup for the band’s highly anticipated 2025 reunion tour.
According to the NME report, the tour will feature Andy Bell on bass, Gem Archer and Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs on guitar, and Joey Waronker on drums—a mix of Oasis veterans and new additions. While fans might be thrilled to see some familiar names returning to the fold, Liam had a different reaction.
Liam’s Sarcastic Clapback
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Liam made it clear that he was more irritated about the leak itself than the actual lineup. “I’m not bothered about the lineup,” he wrote, “I’m concerned about where NME is getting this from. Tell me who your source pots are, and I’ll give you an exclusive interview.”
Then, in true Gallagher fashion, he couldn’t resist turning the situation into a joke. He sarcastically revealed what he claimed to be the “real” lineup:
- Tony McCarroll – drums
- Alan White – bass
- Zak Starkey – lead guitar
- Chris Sharrock – keys
Of course, die-hard Oasis fans knew instantly that this was just another of Liam’s classic wind-ups—every single name he listed is actually a former Oasis drummer. And some of them didn’t exactly leave on good terms with the band.
The Big Money Reunion
The Oasis Live 25 tour officially kicks off on July 4, 2025, at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, with sold-out stops in Manchester, London, Edinburgh, Japan, Argentina, the U.S., and Brazil.
While fans have been waiting years for this moment, insiders speculate that financial motivations played a key role in the reunion. Both Liam and Noel have endured costly divorces and mixed success in their solo careers. Industry experts estimate that the Gallaghers will earn £5 million per show across 30 global dates, meaning a staggering £75 million each from ticket sales alone. Add in merchandise, sponsorships, and streaming revenue, and the payday could easily surpass £150 million.
A History of Bad Blood
Oasis famously imploded in 2009 just before a gig in Paris. A long-brewing backstage fight turned physical, with Liam reportedly swinging Noel’s guitar like an axe. The feud that followed was legendary, with both brothers taking public swipes at each other for over a decade.
Despite past animosity, the money, nostalgia, and fan demand have seemingly brought the iconic Britpop band back together. Whether it lasts beyond the tour remains to be seen—but for now, Oasis fans have their dream reunion.
