Leisi has made her way back into the top ten this week with her current single, “I Need to Know,” at number nine on Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay chart. The song is produced by Rex Rideout and marks Ledisi’s eighth top ten hit since she received her first with “Pieces of Me” in August of 2011.
Since releasing her album Pieces of Me in 2011, Ledisi has had at least one Adult R&B top ten single from each of her albums, The Truth, Let Love Rule, The Wild Card, and her upcoming untitled album. “I Need to Know” is the lead single off of Ledisi’s upcoming untitled album that is due to arrive this Spring. She even performed the song on The Jennifer Hudson Show back in January.
An official release date for the album hasn’t been confirmed as of yet, but the album will be released via Ledisi’s Listen Back Imprint in partnership with BMG.
In the meantime, Ledisi is playing dates for the co-headlining tour Soul II Tour along with Kem. Musiq Soulchild is supporting as a special guest. The tour ends on May 12th at Raising Canes River Center Arena in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Ledisi’s home state.
