The final series’ of NBA and NHL play were decided last night with two big wins in different ways last night. While the Cavs coasted to a 135-102 win over the Celtics on Thursday night, the Penguins won a 3-2 double OT thriller over the Senators.
LeBron James posted his typical 35 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists in the win against the Celtics and it was Kyrie Irving that was Robin to LeBron’s Batman in the win. Kyrie would generate 24 points on offense with 7 assists. The Cavs and Warriors will now face off in the NBA Finals. This one was never really close, but the NHL game that was last night more than made up for it.
The Penguins took down the Senators in double OT Thursday night, winning 3-2. The winning goal came from Chris Kunitz, which was his second of the night. He scored the first one as well in the second period. Others to score on the night were Justin Schultz (Penguins), Mark Stone (Senators) and Ryan Dzingel (Senators). The Penguins and Predators will be facing off for the Stanley Cup now.
