Learning More About Cher Back Then and What She’s Doing Now

In the mid-60s a couple of teenagers in love wrote songs and had lots of fun on stage, right in the middle of progressive rock and protest tunes. Sonny and Cher hit the top spots with tunes like “I Got You Babe” and “The Beat Goes On.” Sadly, Sonny died in a tragic skiing accident in 1998. Here are a few things you may not have known about Cher…

Cher’s voice is found in a ton of hit records. Cher was a Phil Spector background singer in the early 60s on many of the Crystals and Ronettes songs.

Her hit song “If I Could Turn Back Time” was filmed on the deck of the Missouri and went sideways with the Navy. They had originally agreed to let her film the video for MTV because they thought it would be a great PR move, but their jaws dropped when she breezed out on stage missing half her wardrobe.
