Leah Remini and Angelo Pagán Announce Divorce After 21 Years of Marriage

Leah Remini has revealed that she and her husband, Angelo Pagán, are filing for divorce after more than two decades together. The 54-year-old actress shared the news on social media on Thursday, August 29, explaining that the decision, while difficult, was the right one for them.

“After 28 years together and 21 years of marriage, we’ve decided to file for divorce,” Remini wrote on Instagram. “This decision came after much thought and care. While divorce is never easy, we’re approaching it with a positive mindset because we believe it’s what’s best for both of us.”

Remini acknowledged that she and Pagán, who married in 2003, are “sad” but “proud” of how they’ve handled the situation together. She noted that they are still close and continue to share family moments, watch TV together, and celebrate holidays.

Explaining their decision, Remini said, “We’ve both changed, as people do, and we got used to playing roles that no longer fit us. After much effort and consideration, we’ve decided to take this step, reflecting who we are today.”

She emphasized that their bond remains strong, albeit in a different form, and that they view their marriage as a success, especially given the beautiful memories they created, including raising their incredible daughter.

Remini and Pagán wanted to be transparent about their split, given how public they’ve been about their relationship in the past, whether through VH1 specials or their reality show Leah Remini: It’s All Relative.

“We’re navigating this new chapter publicly and hope our journey inspires others to see that relationships, whether they change or end, aren’t failures,” Remini concluded. “We’ll keep sharing snippets of our lives as we move forward.”
