Lauren Bennett, Voice Behind Party Rock Anthem, Dies at 37

The music world is mourning the loss of British singer Lauren Bennett, who has died at the age of 37.

Bennett became a familiar voice to millions of listeners after appearing on LMFAO’s international smash hit Party Rock Anthem, one of the defining pop songs of the early 2010s. The chart-topping single helped launch her onto the global stage and introduced audiences to her energetic vocal style.

Before reaching worldwide success, Bennett was a member of the girl group Paradiso Girls. She later joined G.R.L., where she helped deliver fan favorites including Ugly Heart and collaborated with Pitbull on Wild Wild Love. The group earned a devoted following with its blend of polished pop and strong vocal performances.

G.R.L. announced Bennett’s passing in an emotional tribute, remembering her as someone whose kindness, spirit and talent touched everyone around her. No cause of death has been released.

Bennett also played an important role during one of the group’s most difficult chapters. After the loss of fellow member Simone Battle in 2014, she joined her bandmates in recording Lighthouse, a song dedicated to Battle’s memory while encouraging greater awareness of mental health.

Throughout her career, Bennett worked with several high-profile artists while building a reputation as a versatile performer capable of moving between dance-pop, contemporary pop and vocal-driven collaborations. Her contributions to some of the decade’s biggest hits ensured her place in modern pop music history.

As news of her death spreads, fans and fellow musicians continue to share tributes celebrating her music, generosity and the lasting memories she created both on stage and in the recording studio.
