Latto Brings Early 2000s Heat and Big Surprises to Syracuse Block Party 2025

Latto took Syracuse University by storm over the weekend, headlining the school’s annual Block Party with a performance that blended nostalgia, style, and generosity. The Atlanta rapper rocked a throwback Carmelo Anthony Syracuse jersey, oversized True Religion jean shorts, and Timberland boots — a look that paid homage to New York streetwear of the early 2000s.

The rapper, who cheekily went by “Big Daddy” for the day, lit up social media with bold photos from the event — including one in a men’s bathroom posing by a urinal. Fans couldn’t help but comment on her confidence and commitment to the theme.

Latto’s high-energy set featured over 15 songs, including fan favorites like “Georgia Peach,” “Blick Sum,” and “Sunday Service.” She even tweaked lyrics to shout out Syracuse directly, showing love to the crowd with local flair.

Beyond the mic, Latto made dreams come true — gifting a lucky student $1,000 and surprising Cornell freshman Kumba Cavazzini Diop with a pair of Givenchy boots. “She noticed me today,” Diop said, calling it a surreal full-circle moment.

While she’s kept a low profile musically in 2025, Latto proved she still knows how to steal a stage — and a campus — when she shows up.
