Fans’ eerie suspicions are finally coming to life—Lady Gaga is reportedly set to release a new single, “Dead Dance,” tied to her role in Wednesday Season 2. Two sources close to the production confirmed to Variety that the track will debut alongside the new season of the Tim Burton-directed Netflix hit, with both the song and its accompanying video arriving next month.
Gaga will appear as Rosaline Rotwood, a legendary teacher at Nevermore Academy who becomes entangled with Wednesday Addams. Though reps for the pop icon declined to confirm the reports, Burton has spoken glowingly about working with Gaga, calling the experience “inspirational” and hinting at further collaborations between the two.
The single was reportedly created with her Mayhem album collaborators Andrew Watt and Cirkut, adding to the anticipation. Fans were already speculating after Gaga and Burton were spotted together on Mexico City’s haunted Island of the Dolls—an on-brand location for both stars.
Gaga’s addition to the cast joins returning favorites like Jenna Ortega and Catherine Zeta-Jones, with new faces including Steve Buscemi and Joanna Lumley.
Get ready: the Mother Monster is coming to Nevermore—and she’s bringing a haunting new anthem.
