Lady Gaga Teases New Single “Disease” Dropping This Friday

Lady Gaga has officially confirmed that her highly anticipated new single, “Disease,” will be released this Friday, October 25. In a recent Instagram post, the Joker: Folie à Deux star shared the striking cover art, which shows her lying face-down on the hood of a white car, with the song’s title written upside down in bold, white street paint. She also revealed the official release times for major cities like New York, Los Angeles, and London, setting fans on edge as they prepare for the first taste of her next musical era.

This announcement comes after a flurry of cryptic teasers that led fans to believe Lady Gaga’s next album — her seventh studio record — is on the horizon. Though no album title has been confirmed yet, fans, affectionately known as Little Monsters, have been busy decoding clues hinting at what’s to come.

One major clue was a pre-save link posted by Gaga’s label, Universal, allowing fans to get ready for the single’s debut on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music. The page also features the song title written backward, adding to the mystery.

Dedicated fans also uncovered an acrostic puzzle from a recently uploaded 11-song playlist on Gaga’s Spotify page. The first letters of the songs spelled out “GAGA disease,” setting off a frenzy of speculation about the new track.

But the teasers didn’t stop there. Visiting gagadisease.com leads fans to a flashing message reading, “I could play the doctor,” while another site, icouldplaythedoctor.com, offers the phrase, “I can cure your disease.” By following a trail of website clues, fans unlocked additional lyrics from the upcoming song, including: “If you were a sinner/ I could make you believe/ Lay you down like 1, 2, 3/ Eyes roll back in ecstasy/ I can smell your sickness/ I can cure ya/ Cure your disease.” The cryptic lyric trail ultimately leads back to the Universal pre-save page, readying fans for Friday’s big drop.

The release of “Disease” also signals the start of Gaga’s next major pop album, which she previously confirmed is slated for a February release. This new chapter follows the success of her Joker-inspired Harlequin jazz album, which earned Gaga her third No. 1 on the Billboard jazz charts. On the pop front, her Bruno Mars collaboration, “Die With a Smile,” has been dominating the Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts for seven straight weeks.

Little Monsters are counting down the hours until Friday, when “Disease” is expected to mark the official kick-off to Gaga’s upcoming album and a fresh wave of hits.
