Kourtney Kardashian Barker is addressing a parenting misstep after facing criticism for a recent boating outing with her youngest child, 21-month-old Rocky Thirteen.
On August 8, the reality star and entrepreneur shared photos from a trip to Idaho, including one of Rocky on a boat without a life vest. The image quickly drew concern from fans, especially since Idaho law requires children under 14 to wear life jackets on the water.
By the next day, Kardashian Barker posted an update on Instagram Stories, showing a screenshot of a properly sized infant life vest. “Update: bought a life vest that fits! Good looking out,” she wrote. “Honestly didn’t think about some of the dangers. Thank you for making me aware and hopefully this helps make other mommies aware.”
While some online commenters called the moment “dangerous neglect,” others praised her for acknowledging the oversight and taking swift action. Alongside the safety update, she also celebrated World Breastfeeding Week, sharing another photo with Rocky and reflecting on their bond.
Kardashian Barker shares Rocky with husband Travis Barker, and is also mom to Mason, Penelope, and Reign from her previous relationship with Scott Disick.
