Peter Criss, the former Kiss drummer who left the band in 1980, will be returning to the stage after retiring from touring in 2017.
For one night only, Criss will appear with the Australian rock band Sisters Doll at New York’s The Cutting Room on May 22nd.
Sisters Doll was Criss’ backup band during his final US tour over five years ago. The band also backed former Kiss guitarist Bruce Kulick throughout his Australian tours in 2015 and 2017.
“After being in contact with him [Kulick] he gave us the opportunity to play with him,” Sisters Dolls drummer Bryce Lipz had said of the opportunity in 2017. “He and Peter Criss had been talking and he had copped wind that we were good musicians so that’s how we got the opportunity to play with him. It was so surreal.”
