The Sacramento Kings are reportedly considering trading their star point guard, De’Aaron Fox, ahead of the NBA trade deadline on February 6, 2025. Fox, 27, is averaging 25.2 points, 6.2 assists, and 5.0 rebounds per game this season.
Several teams are expected to pursue Fox, with the San Antonio Spurs emerging as a potential destination. Reports suggest that Fox has expressed interest in joining the Spurs, particularly to team up with Victor Wembanyama.
The Brooklyn Nets are also reportedly interested in acquiring Fox to address their point guard needs following Kyrie Irving’s departure. The Nets possess a substantial number of future first-round draft picks, which could enhance their offer.
Fox is under contract through the 2025-26 season, with a cap hit of $37.1 million for that year. He is eligible for free agency in 2026.
As the trade deadline approaches, the NBA community is closely monitoring where Fox might land and how his potential move could impact the league’s landscape.
