Kids’ Choice Awards 2025: Pop Royalty, Slime, and Subtle Messages Steal the Show

Singer Rihanna

The 2025 Kids’ Choice Awards proved once again that today’s kids have their finger on the pulse of pop culture. With winners like Sabrina Carpenter, SZA, and Bruno Mars — all artists dominating both charts and award shows — the show blurred the line between kid-favorite and global superstar.

Sabrina Carpenter swept the night with three wins, including Favorite Album for Short n’ Sweet, echoing her recent Grammy triumph. Ever grateful, she promised fans she’d keep delivering “clean versions” of her hits.

Rihanna accepted her Icon Award via video, leaving young viewers with empowering words: “Own your space in this world. You are chosen for greatness.”

Even with the slime and spectacle, heartfelt moments surfaced. Auli’i Cravalho’s acceptance speech for Moana 2 subtly nodded to global issues, while Jack Black’s slime-drenched antics carried unexpected significance as he shouted, “Viva Mexico!”

The performances didn’t disappoint, with mgk and KATSEYE closing the show in true Nickelodeon fashion — drenched in green goo.

Amidst the laughs and music, the 2025 Kids’ Choice Awards reminded everyone: pop music may evolve, but inspiration, fun, and slime never go out of style.
