Adam Levine, the charismatic frontman of Maroon 5, is making his much-anticipated return to “The Voice.” After departing the NBC singing competition in 2019 following 16 successful seasons, Levine is set to rejoin the coaching panel for season 27, premiering in spring 2025.
Levine will be accompanied by returning coaches John Legend and Michael BublĂ©, who will debut as a coach in season 26 later this year. Adding to the excitement is first-time coach Kelsea Ballerini. Despite being new to the full-time coaching role, Ballerini is no stranger to “The Voice.” She hosted the “Comeback Stage” in season 15, served as a celebrity mentor for Kelly Clarkson in season 16, and filled in for Clarkson during season 20.
Levine was one of the original four coaches when “The Voice” launched in April 2011, alongside Blake Shelton, CeeLo Green, and Christina Aguilera. During his tenure, he led his team to victory three times, winning with Javier Colon in season 1, Tessanne Chin in season 5, and Jordan Smith in season 9.
Before Levine’s return, fans will see Gwen Stefani make her comeback in season 26. She will be joined by BublĂ©, Reba McEntire, and Snoop Dogg, who is also debuting as a coach. McEntire, ahead of the season 25 live shows, expressed her excitement about the new coaching lineup, stating, “I know both of them, they’re funny, they’re great, they love music, they’re easy to get along with, and we’re gonna have a blast. Gwen and I can’t wait.”
John Legend, who will take a hiatus for season 26 to perform and travel overseas, shared his enthusiasm about returning in the future and the new additions to the coaching panel. “It’s exciting to incorporate some new people into The Voice family as well,” he said. “Having Snoop here, he’s been here as a mentor before but having him as a coach I think is gonna be a lot of fun and it’s gonna reinvigorate the show a bit.”
“The Voice” continues to evolve and entertain, with season 26 set to air later this year and season 27 bringing back the beloved Adam Levine. Fans can look forward to more exciting performances and dynamic coaching moments as the show celebrates its enduring success.
