Kelly Clarkson & Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Tribute Loretta Lynn With a Duet

According to billboard.com, The Kelly Clarkson Show had a special Kellyoke that featured Dwayne Johnson and the pair opened the talk show on October 17th, by duetting Loretta Lynn’s 1967 classic, “Don’t Come Home a Drinkin’.”The show’s Twitter account tweeted, “An extra special #Kellyoke duet with Dwayne @therock Johnson in memory of the late, great @LorettaLynn.”

The track comes off of the country music icon’s ninth studio album, “Don’t Come Home a Drinkin'” earned Lynn her first Number one on the Hot Country Songs chart, something she would go on to accomplish 15 more times during her career.

Johnson is known primarily for his acting, however, he also has his own Billboard Hot 100 entry from 2016 when “You’re Welcome” from Disney’s Moana debuted at Number 83 on the all genre chart.

Just last week, Clarkson and Sam Smith performed a Kellyoke duet of her own 2004 hit “Breakaway” before they covered Olivia Rodrigo’s “Traitor,” “Whitney Houston’s “Queen of the Night” and Alec Benjamin’s “Let Me Down Slowly” featuring Alessia Cara will be over the course of her next four shows.
