Keith Urban Ditches Original Album, Gears Up for World Tour

With an impressive collection of awards—eight ARIAs, four Grammys, 15 Academy of Country Music honors, and 13 Country Music Awards—Keith Urban has proven his mastery in making chart-topping music.

Although he has spent decades performing in sold-out arenas, Urban still finds excitement in intimate, smaller venue shows, reminiscent of his early career. “There’s something special about connecting with a smaller crowd up close,” Keith shared with Richard Wilkins. “No video screens, no production—just a band and real music. We even take requests.”

Urban’s 12th studio album, High, is set to release later this month, and the upcoming High and Alive World Tour will spotlight the new tracks along with fan favorites. The tour will make multiple stops in Australia starting in August 2025.

Interestingly, Urban revealed that he scrapped an entire version of High after realizing it wasn’t good enough. “I was about four songs in and just stopped. I knew I had a better album in me,” he admitted. “Each song was great individually, but together, it didn’t feel right.”

Tickets for the High and Alive World Tour go on sale September 13, 2025.
