KATSEYE, Joji and Noah Kahan Lead Record Store Day Black Friday Releases

Vinyl collectors will have another reason to skip the usual Black Friday shopping rush and head for their neighborhood record store this November.

Record Store Day Black Friday returns Nov. 27 with more than 150 limited releases headed to independent retailers. The 2026 collection stretches across generations and genres, bringing together current hitmakers, classic artists, archival performances, soundtracks and several records making their vinyl debuts.

KATSEYE is among the contemporary acts getting the special-edition treatment. The group will release The Dance Breaks, a 12-inch yellow vinyl featuring live dance-break versions of “Debut,” “Gnarly” and “Gabriela” from the Beautiful Chaos Tour. The pressing will also feature a KATSEYE logo etching.

The newer generation is well represented elsewhere in the collection. Releases from keshi, CORTIS and sombr are part of the lineup, while Holly Humberstone will offer a 7-inch built around performances from her BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge session. It includes “Cruel World” and her interpretation of Harry Styles’ “Coming Up Roses.”

Joji will expand Piss In The Wind with a deluxe edition featuring additional songs and instrumentals.

Noah Kahan has twice the reason for collectors to start planning. One release is a 7-inch featuring “Draw You Out,” his contribution to The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping soundtrack. He will also release The Last of the Bugs as a 12-inch EP pressed on 180-gram Alpenglow vinyl.

For longtime collectors, the catalog section offers plenty of familiar names in unfamiliar packages. The Rolling Stones’ Aftermath is receiving a clear-vinyl edition, while two George Harrison albums, 33 1/3 and George Harrison, are being presented in zoetrope editions.

Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band’s Night Moves will mark its 50th anniversary with a new pressing from Third Man Records. Joan Jett & the Blackhearts’ I Love Rock ’N Roll is also being revisited with a special “Shadow Album” edition.

Other catalog releases include Stevie Nicks’ Bella Donna, 2Pac’s Pac’s Life and New Edition’s Candy Girl. Barenaked Ladies fans have an additional milestone to celebrate, with Born on a Pirate Ship and Rock Spectacle both making their vinyl debuts.

The Black Friday collection also digs deep into live music. Prince, Joni Mitchell, Bruce Springsteen, Marianne Faithfull, Funkadelic and Billy Joel are among the artists represented by concert recordings. Brigitte Calls Me Baby, Old ’97s and Jeff Tweedy are also included, while archival sets from Billy Idol and The B-52s revisit performances from 1982.

Jazz collectors have not been forgotten, with recordings involving Stan Getz, Charlie Parker and Bill Evans joining the selection.

Even the soundtrack shelf is getting some Black Friday attention. Music from both Wicked films will be brought together in a special package, while KPop Demon Hunters will receive a variant featuring holographic artwork and additional extras.

With more than 150 releases spanning current pop, rock history, hip-hop, jazz, live recordings and movie soundtracks, Record Store Day is casting a wide net this Black Friday. For vinyl fans, the biggest challenge on Nov. 27 may not be finding something worth buying. It may be deciding which record gets grabbed first.
