Katie Sturino recently sat down with Pop Sugar to talk about her first collection for Stitch Fix, and it was very revealing. “It was really important to do this collection in not just extended sizing, but in all sizes. I get annoyed when I can’t shop a collection, and I’m sure there are people that see the launch of a plus-only collection and say, ‘Oh, well I can’t wear that,’ like my friends,” Katie told me.
That notion is reflected in the gorgeous campaign images, which include fellow influencers and entrepreneurs Blair Eadie of Atlantic-Pacific and Courtney Quinn of Color Me Courtney. The diverse group of women model all the vibrant pieces, which retail from $54 to $98 and come in sizes zero to 24 and XS to 3X.
“I have a lot of problems finding a lot of different pieces. For this line, the matching skirt and top are something that you can’t find in extended sizing. In this collection, we’re not trying to make knockoffs or imitation pieces. We’re trying to bring a unique collection to the market . . . This collection has been viewed through the lens of luxury fashion. Everything is what you’d want and expect from a nice contemporary brand.”
