It was just confirmed that Kanye West has officially backed out of headlining Coachella, which is set to kick off in just under two weeks.
A source close to the controversial rapper has said that West does not want to take the stage in the midst of his divorce from Kim Kardashian and in the wake of his “feud with” Daily Show host Trevor Noah.
West had previously threatened to quit Coachella after Billie Eilish, one of the other headliners in addition to Harry Styles and others, made a comment seemingly targeted at Travis Scott.
Despite winning two Grammys over the weekend, the Donda rapper was prohibited from performing due to the many ongoing controversies and problematic behaviors. There has been no clear indication if his decision to pull out of Coachella is directly related.
