Kanye West Declares February as “Black Future Month,” Hosts Conference

Kanye West took to Instagram to declare February, which has been commemorated as Black History month since 1976, as Black Future Month.

FEBRUARY IS NOW BLACK FUTURE MONTH #BFM,” the prolific rapper wrote in the caption of his post on Tuesday, along with a #BFM hashtag.

Photos and videos have also appeared across the internet of West hosting what seems to be a press conference where all attendees are dressed in black.

Gunna, NFL star Antonio Brown, Shenseea, and Fivio Foreign were some of the notable faces seen in attendance.

“Black Future Month is us taking control of our own narrative,” jazz trumpeter Theo Croker added in an Instagram Story, which showed a crowd of approximately 50 people at the conference inside of a warehouse where West had previously held Sunday Service.

West recently promised that Donda 2, the sequel to his Donda album, is set to release on February 22nd.
