Jurors Finally See the Cell Phone Data That Comes From XXXTentacion’s Accused Killers

Juror in the trial of three individuals being accused of murdering rising rapper XXXTentacion ended their fourth day of deliberations on Monday by reviewing almost 1,200 text messages and several video and pictures that were seized from two of the individuals cell phones. Some videos and picture showed the defendants with handfuls of $100 bills just hours after the shooting of XXXTentacion outside of a suburban Fort Lauderdale motorcycle dealership. XXXTentacion was murdered after being robbed of $50,000 he had on himself in a Louis Vuitton bag.

The jurors requested to see the data in the afternoon, wanting to see the data of alleged shooter Michael Boatwright, and the accused getaway driver Dedrick Williams, from the day before and after the shooting.

However, the jurors did not ask for any data form the phones of alleged second gunman Trayvon Newsome or alleged co-conspirator Robert Allen. Allen testified against his former friends pleading guilty last year to second degree murder.

The others Boatwright, Williams, and Newsome will be charged with first degree murder and armed robbery and will face mandatory life sentences if they are convicted.

The rapper himself, XXXTentacion was a platinum selling rising rapper who had struggles with prejudice and depression. He also was criticized for having multiple arrests, including charges that indicate that he abused his girlfriend.
