“Jurassic World Rebirth” Roars to $318 Million Global Debut, Tops International Box Office

The dinosaurs are back — and they’re still a box office juggernaut. Universal’s Jurassic World Rebirth has stomped to a $318 million worldwide opening, including $171 million from 82 international markets.

The Gareth Edwards-directed reboot, starring Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, and Mahershala Ali, marks a new chapter for the beloved franchise with an entirely fresh cast and plot centered on a mission to retrieve dinosaur DNA for a miracle drug. Despite slightly softer domestic numbers compared to previous installments, the film is thriving overseas, led by a $41 million debut in China. The UK and Ireland contributed $16.6 million, while Mexico and Germany added $13.9 million and $7.6 million, respectively.

Meanwhile, F1: The Movie, starring Brad Pitt, held strong in its second weekend with $56.3 million internationally, pushing its global total to $293 million.

Disney’s Lilo & Stitch live-action remake is racing toward the billion-dollar club with $972.7 million globally, becoming 2025’s highest-grossing Hollywood release.

However, Pixar’s Elio continues to disappoint with just $96.8 million worldwide, signaling a tough road ahead for original animation at the box office.
