Classic rock veterans Journey are back and bigger than ever: guitarist Neal Schon has confirmed that the band will hit the road in 2026 with approximately 120 shows already booked—and more expected to follow.
What sets this tour apart is its ambition. Schon insists it won’t just be a greatest-hits run; instead, the setlists will dig deep. “It’s going to be a very different show … the sets are going to be much longer,” he teased in a chat with Eddie Trunk.
The band plans to pull material from their catalog dating back to 1978, though not necessarily from their earliest days. While details remain sparse, one confirmed date is April 25, 2026, when Journey will appear at California’s Stagecoach Music Festival, injecting rock into the event’s increasingly eclectic lineup. Schon also floated the possibility of pairing the band with Bryan Adams on future stadium legs.
Notably, tensions within the band—especially between Schon and longtime keyboardist Jonathan Cain—appear to have cooled. Schon remarked that recent conversations and meetings have “been great,” suggesting renewed unity ahead of what may be one of their most daring tours yet.
