Johnny Depp Shocks Comic-Con Crowd With Stunning Scrooge Transformation

Johnny Depp stunned Comic-Con attendees with an unexpected appearance that left many fans doing a double take.

The actor emerged at San Diego Comic-Con completely transformed into Ebenezer Scrooge, sporting elaborate prosthetic makeup, gray facial hair, a weathered Victorian wardrobe, and a cane as he promoted his upcoming film, *Ebenezer: A Christmas Carol*.

Staying fully committed to the role, Depp wandered among fans and cosplayers while delivering sharp, Scrooge-inspired remarks and interacting with attendees before taking part in a special presentation for the film. His dramatic transformation quickly became one of the convention’s biggest talking points.

The appearance also served as the debut of the first trailer for the movie, a darker, gothic interpretation of Charles Dickens’ holiday classic directed by Ti West. The film reimagines the familiar story with a supernatural horror atmosphere while keeping Scrooge at its center.

Joining Depp in the cast are Andrea Riseborough, Ian McKellen, Rupert Grint, Tramell Tillman, Daisy Ridley, and Sam Claflin. The movie is scheduled to arrive in theaters on Nov. 13.

For Depp, the project represents a significant milestone as his first major Hollywood studio release in several years. Judging by the enthusiastic reaction from Comic-Con crowds, audiences are eager to see his latest dramatic transformation when the film reaches theaters this fall.
