John Legend has just announced his own gender neutral skincare brand, Loved01 (pronounced “Loved One”), that is set to launch on February first. He partnered with A-Frame Brands for the products that are formulated in consultation with board certified dermatologist Naana Boakye.
Legend made a statement regarding his products saying, “Our skin is beautifully rich and colorful, but it also needs constant care, love, and healing. Our goal is to create high-quality yet accessible products because everyone should experience the joy of beautiful and healthy skin.”
The line will range from $10-$15 and is made-up of six products: exfoliating cleanser; face and body moisturizer; face and body oil; face and body wash; shave cream; and toning mist. Legend stated, “There’s a wealth gap, We couldn’t price the products in a way that a lot of Black and Brown people couldn’t afford knowing that there’s an income gap—we didn’t want to do that.” The products will be sold in 2,000 CVS stores, 500 Walmart locations, and on the product’s own website.
In other Legend related news, he is nominated for multiple 2023 Grammy with DJ Khaled’s “God Did” in the following categories: Song of the Year, Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song. JAY-Z, Rick Ross, Lil Wayne and Friday also guest on the track.
