Joe Jonas has announced his second solo album, “Music for People Who Believe in Love,” set to release on October 18 via Republic Records. The former Jonas Brothers star and DNCE frontman will debut the album’s first single, “Work It Out,” this Friday. Jonas has been teasing the new song over the past month, sharing snippets during podcast appearances and performing it live at the Jonas Brothers’ Calgary Stampede show.
“I am thrilled to share my new solo album with you – Music for People Who Believe in Love,” Jonas expressed in a statement. “This album is a celebration of gratitude, hope, and love. These songs reflect on my life from a bird’s-eye view, acknowledging the many blessings around me.”
Jonas explained that the album draws inspiration from fatherhood, friendship, and happiness. “This album is a reflection and celebration of life,” he said. “I hope it brings you as much joy as it brought me creating it. Please enjoy!”
Joe Jonas, 34, first ventured into solo territory with his debut album “Fastlife” in October 2011, which debuted at No. 15 on the Billboard 200. He later formed DNCE in 2015, achieving commercial success with hits like “Cake by the Ocean,” which peaked at No. 9 on the Hot 100.
Recently, Jonas reunited with his brothers Nick and Kevin for the Jonas Brothers’ album “The Album,” which dropped last year.
In his heartfelt statement, Jonas emphasized the themes of his upcoming album: “When we take a moment to breathe, pause, and reflect on the positives, my hope is that we can find acceptance and ultimately peace in the present moment. It’s okay to cry and mourn a loss – it’s part of the process to take care of ourselves and eventually enables us to be there for the people we care about.”
He continued, “This album speaks to the experiences of being a father, being a friend to oneself and others, and the happiness I’ve found in doing what I love for a living. I feel incredibly fortunate to travel the world and connect with people through my music.”
“Music for People Who Believe in Love” promises to be a deeply personal and uplifting journey for Jonas and his fans, reflecting his growth and appreciation for life’s blessings. As Jonas concluded, “This album is a reflection and celebration of life. I hope it brings you as much joy as it brought me creating it. Please enjoy!”
Fans eagerly await the release of “Music for People Who Believe in Love” and the new single “Work It Out” this Friday.
