Jennifer Lopez is set to host the 2025 American Music Awards (AMAs), marking her second time in this role since 2015. The ceremony will take place on Memorial Day, Monday, May 26, 2025, and will be broadcast live from Las Vegas at 8 p.m. ET on CBS, with streaming available on Paramount+.
Jay Penske, CEO of Dick Clark Productions, expressed enthusiasm about Lopez’s return, stating, “Jennifer’s incredible talent and incomparable stage presence make her the ideal host of the show.”
Lopez has a rich history with the AMAs, having performed over ten times and secured three awards, including Favorite Pop/Rock Female Artist in 2003 and Favorite Latin Artist in 2007 and 2011.
This year’s ceremony introduces a new tradition by aligning with Memorial Day to honor U.S. troops and veterans. The event will feature special tributes and performances dedicated to service members.
The 2025 AMAs also mark a transition to CBS as the new broadcasting partner, following a hiatus since the last regular broadcast in November 2022. The change aims to revitalize the awards show and reach a broader audience.
