Jimmy Choo is Teeing Up to Enter the World of Golf… Fashion

Jimmy Choo is teeing up to enter the world of golf, joining forces with LA-based contemporary lifestyle label Malbon Golf, founded by Stephen and Erica Malbon. The collaboration is designed to “bring the joy of fashion to the golf course, clubhouse, and beyond,” aiming to showcase the evolution of the golf community and its rising connection to fashion.

In a short statement, Jimmy Choo said the collection would combine the brand’s glamour with Malbon’s disruptive take on the world of golf to “elevate golf essentials with a layer of sophistication”. The sport-inspired collection will “speak to the democratisation and evolution of the golf community, merging glamour and heavy-swing mastery through shared values and universal appeal,” added Jimmy Choo.

As Hypebae reports, the collection is likely to include both footwear and apparel styles, fusing Jimmy Choo’s undeniable glamor with Malbon’s disruptive essence, although little has been confirmed at this stage. The collaboration comes as a result of a rise in golfwear within fashion, something which Hypebae reported on just last month, looking at a specific increase within the womenswear sector.

For Jimmy Choo, the joint venture follows a long list of impressive collaborators, which recently included the likes of Jean Paul Gaultier on a co-designed collection for autumn/winter 2023, a New York-inspired range with Timberland in 2022, as well as a collab with Naoko Takeuchi’s Sailor Moon.

The Jimmy Choo / Malbon collection will be available globally via Jimmy Choo’s website and stores from April 17.
