Tom Cruise and More a Part of ‘Top Gun: Maverick’

Here’s a scary thought; the film ‘Top Gun’ is 32 years old this year, and the film’s producers and Paramount are about to recreate the 80s with the highly anticipated sequel, called ‘Top Gun: Maverick.’ Tom Cruise, of course, is on board, and so is Jennifer Connelly and Val Kilmer. Miles Teller of ‘Allegiant’ and ‘Divergent’ fame is also on the cast and crew list.

There wasn’t a hotter due in Hollywood than Jerry Bruckheimer and the late Don Simpson (heart failure after years of addiction issues) The two produced and directed ‘Crimson Tide’ ‘Bad Boys’ ‘Enemy of the State’ ‘Days of Thunder’ ‘Beverly Hills Cop’ the 1984 original and ‘Beverly Hills Cop II.’

Top Gun was a hit in 1986, made on a $15 million dollar budget, grossing more than $350 million worldwide. ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ is set to begin filming this fall with a summer 2019 release date.
