James Harden and adidas have unveiled the latest installment in the baller’s footwear range, presenting a colorful new pack of the Harden Vol. 4 designed in partnership with Daniel Patrick. At a launch event in New York, Harden sported the vibrant “Pink Lemonade” edition, while showcasing other bold colorways including “Barbershop,” “Cookies & Cream,” and “Candy Paint.”
This shoe represents the most lightweight iteration in Harden’s line-up, with the brand utilizing its “Lightstrike” midsole cushioning for the first time in this collection. Other highlighted details include a midfoot band meant to enhance stability, an updated traction pattern and a curved lace keeper design. Along with the shoes, a selection of streetwear apparel will accompany the range, including graphic T-shirts, printed gym shorts and tracksuits.
“The process to create the Vol. 4 was a true collaboration with the adidas design team that allowed me to voice my creativity and to blend different ideas into one shoe that would showcase both my style of play on the court and my sense of style walking out of the tunnel,” said Harden. “Daniel Patrick has been setting trends with his use of bold looks and bright colors, so partnering with Daniel was the perfect way to highlight the design of the Vol. 4 and bring sport, fashion and culture together.”
The Harden Vol. 4 launches on October 12 with the “Barbershop” colorway, followed by “Pink Lemonade” on October 26, “Candy Paint” on October 31 and “Cookies & Cream” on November 15. Styles are priced at $130 each and will be available at adidas’ webstore and retail locations. A larger Spring/Summer 2020 collection with footwear and apparel will become available early next year.
