A few weeks ago we told you that Jackson Browne will be attending an August 13 benefit show in Chicago for a great organization called ‘The Veterans for Peace.’ We now hear that Jackson will be in the Motor City (Detroit) a few days earlier for the purpose of raising money for the renovation of the Redford Theatre.
August 10th, Jackson Browne and former band member Greg Leiz will be on stage to help raise money for the legendary venue. The storied movie theater/club opened in 1928 in suburban Redford Michigan, hanging on through the tough times, enjoying the best times of the late 50s and 70s.
Redford Theatre Appearance will be on August 10th, his Chicago charitable appearance to benefit ‘The Veterans for Peace,’ on August 13th, September 15th through the 17th at the ‘Kaaboo’ Festival in Del Mar CA then September 21st in Holmdel NJ for the ‘Laid Back Festival’. Jackson closes out his brief American tour with another ‘Laid Back Festival’ stop in Hartford on September 23rd then September 24th in Wantagh, NY.
