Jack White recently covered the grunge icon Nirvana’s 1993 classic song “Heart-Shaped Box.” In his cover of the hit track, White sings a bit higher and his guitar sounds more of blues than anything. The crowd seemed to love it as they sang along with him.
Meanwhile, White has had a busy year, releasing two original albums, Fear of the Dawn and Entering Heaven Alive, on top of a set of covers that includes songs by The Stooges, Mazzy Star, and Black Flag. He also recently honored country legend Loretta Lynn with a cover of her song “Van Lear Rose.” White will also star in Martin Scorsese’s upcoming film Killers of the Flower Moon.
