Just days after finalizing her divorce, Isla Fisher is putting love and respect first—especially when it comes to family. On June 16, the actress paid tribute to ex-husband Sacha Baron Cohen with a heartfelt Father’s Day message on Instagram.
Fisher, 49, shared a tender throwback photo of the comedian cradling one of their children as a baby, carefully obscuring the child’s face with a red heart emoji to preserve their privacy. “And forever….. Happy Father’s Day to the best father our children could hope for @sachabaroncohen,” she wrote.
The couple, who share daughters Olive, 17, Elula, 15, and son Montgomery, 8, announced on June 13 that their divorce had been finalized after over two decades together. Despite the split, both Fisher and Baron Cohen emphasized their ongoing friendship and commitment to co-parenting in a joint statement.
Speaking earlier this year, Fisher called the separation “the most difficult thing I’ve been through,” but expressed gratitude for the lessons it brought.
Fisher and Baron Cohen have long maintained a fiercely private approach to family life. “I want our children to have a normal childhood,” Fisher told Marie Claire Australia in 2021. That sentiment still seems to guide them—even through life’s transitions.
