Interpol has just released a new single “Toni” on top of announcing their upcoming seventh album, The Other Side of Make-Believe.
The band has been teasing new music for a few weeks. “Toni” is the first release of new material from the NYC band since 2018’s “Marauder” and 2019’s “A Fine Mess.”
“Toni” has also come with a vide, which is the first of a two-part dance film directed by Van Alpert. The second part is to follow soon.
“It was a blast working with Van Alpert on the video for our song Toni,” said Interpol frontman Paul Banks. “We bonded over shared film inspiration as well as a passion for classic music videos by the likes of Glazer, Cunningham and Jonze. Van, in my opinion, is in the club with these legends; and it’s exciting to watch him build his own enduring body of work.”
The Other Side of Make-Believe is slated to come out on July 15th.
