Inside the Making of Twenty One Pilots’ IMAX Concert Film

Twenty One Pilots are taking their explosive live energy from the stadium stage to the big screen with Twenty One Pilots: More Than We Ever Imagined, a new concert film capturing their sold‑out Mexico City headline performance from The Clancy World Tour.

Filmed during a monumental show in front of roughly 65,000 fans at Estadio GNP Seguros in February 2025, the project goes beyond the typical live concert recording. The film, set for release February 26, 2026, in IMAX and cinemas worldwide, includes never‑before‑seen backstage moments as Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun prepare for one of the biggest nights of their career. Limited IMAX previews will begin a day early on February 25, and tickets are expected to be available starting January 15.

Director Mark C. Eshleman, a longtime creative collaborator with the duo, and his team deployed more than 20 cameras to capture not just the performance but the energy and reaction of the crowd, offering two intertwining perspectives of the same event: the communal experience of the fans and the intense focus of the band itself.

The release marks a significant moment for Twenty One Pilots, who have steadily grown from intimate club shows to arena‑filling tours since forming in 2009. By translating one of their most electric performances into a cinematic event, More Than We Ever Imagined aims to bring the band’s signature live intensity to fans who could not attend the Mexico City date, as well as those who want to relive it on the largest screens possible.
