There are singers who are so famous they only need one name. Madonna, Prince, Elvis, or George are a few examples. Today, let’s get to know Cam a little better. Camaron Marvel Ochs was born on November 19th, 1984 in Lafayette, California (a San Francisco suburb) and has felt the love her whole life. Her life has always been filled with song, from being a member of a chorus that sang in multiple languages, to A Capella at college, to simply singing in the car.
Her career is filled with predictable moments from moving to LA, writing songs that she had hoped would impress the country industry, and being discovered by Tim McGraw’s manager. Cam eventually moved from LA back to Nashville to start her real career. Cam credits her early influences as Patsy Cline, Bonnie Raitt, Ray Charles, Bob Dylan and Joni Mitchell.
